IT Business Analyst

For our Milan Headquarter we are searching for a IT Business Analyst.

The IT Business Analyst acts as an intermediary between the IT department and business functions, ensuring the fulfilment of business needs in terms of IT infrastructures and functions.

In the specific role, the IT Business Analyst will manage the relations between the different business functions departments, the Software providers and the global IT department.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• To understand the purpose behind the various projects
• To contribute to project planning preparation, IT activities organization and plan respect and follow-up.
• To gather all the requirements and inputs from the business, in order to analyze them. This step can be carried out through meetings, brainstorming, observation and simulations
• To relate with all the stakeholders, including customers, end users and IT Team
• To identify and support the IT providers
• To document the process design, and the functional and non-functional requirements (e.g. performances, failure management, support escalation processes, etc.).
• To prepare diagrams and mock-ups that can help describing or understanding the project.
• To support the testing and deployment phases, including preparation of manuals for end users, planning of preliminaries
• To act in respect of project budget and contribute to monitor project KPI. 

Skills and experiences:

• 3-4 years’ experience in a similar position within a retail company or a consulting company with a clear track record in IT transformation project (new application introduction or application transformation);
• Good knowledge of the main retail and supply-chain processes
• Strong understanding of data and performance/operation metrics: ability to critically analyse data and build solutions on selected insights.
• Basic knowledge of web service architecture (SOAP/REST API) is a plus
• General understanding of PHP/JavaScript/HTML/ CSS, and MySQL.
• Excellent functional analysis experience;
• Excellent mastery of written and spoken English;
• Ability to solve problems effectively and efficiently;
• Structured approach, process oriented, multi-tasking and ability to prioritize;
• Willing to learn showing enthusiasm for technology with a proactive attitude
• Exceptional interpersonal skills including the ability to interact professionally in a multi-cultural environment with a great team work attitude;
• Advanced to expert Excel user and good grasp of data analysis.
• Master Degree in Information Technology or equivalent (Engineering or Business Administration)
