As a Finance Business Partner, you will work closely with the Business unit (i.e. Directly Operated Stores and Franchising Network) creating a real and active partnership with both operations and management. In this role you will provide real time support and analysis, acting as a trusted advisor to add value that will assist in decision making. You will contribute to the BU goals’ achievement through effective financial planning and reporting processes, maximizing cash-flow and ensuring company’s compliance with local law.

 

Main tasks and responsibilities

 

  • Develop the business through effective financial planning and reporting processes.
  • Support and contribute to business decisions by providing data, performing analyses, and assessing related financial impacts.
  • Oversee the Budgeting and Forecasting processes ie. Sales, COGS, Opex and Salaries.
  • Perform monthly P&L and KPIs analysis compared to budget and previous year, to identify trends, risk, or opportunities.
  • Analysis of monthly and quarterly results in your scope and ensure they are in line with the country goals.
  • Set action plans in line with country goals monthly, quarterly and annually.
  • Liaising and supporting the Directly Operated Stores for any finance-related matter.
  • Work closely with the accounting department to support the account receivables and collection processes.
  • Collaborate with external consultants (CPA) in charge of the accounting and tax.
  • Contribute to the accounting & tax duties to perform the preparation of the Direct Channel financial statements (Standalone and Consolidated).
  • Support the development and implementation of best financial practices and improve financial reporting & analysis.

 

Skills and experiences

 

  • University degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in international environment with structured companies (possibly retail or consulting industries) in roles with increasing responsibility.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and conceptual skills with a strategic mind-set.
  • Structured approach, process oriented, attentive to details and ability to prioritize.
  • Solid communication skills, ambitious and able to build strong relationships with internal and external business partners.
  • Ability to understand the audience and deliver financial information in a clear manner.
  • Proficiency in Excel is required; knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics for Finance, Qlik and/or Power BI is considered a plus.
  • Fluent Italian with good written and spoken English.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of time.
