DATA ANALYST

We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst, able to (i) manage the data platform that generates a set of standard reporting and self-service analysis, and (ii) work on existing data architecture and data warehouses.

The Data Analyst will also have the responsibility to create, maintain, modify and document core analysis and reports, thereby frequently cooperating with the cross-country BI team, the IT department, IT external suppliers and other internal stakeholders (typically business and marketing).

 

Main tasks and responsibilities:

 

  • Maintain and integrate the current data platform that enables self-service analytics.
  • Maintain the existing data warehouses, ETL and procedures used by the group to feed data warehouses.
  • Maintain existing BI tools and other types of reports as well as create new ones when required.
  • Work closely to BI team, IT department, IT providers, business to:
    • Develop new reports or one-off business analysis that are required for decision support
    • Maintain, modify and evolve current reports and reporting systems
    • Provide ad hoc data extraction and analysis
  • Proactively check data availability, data normalization, monitoring data model changes and ensure consistency among all the group data domains and information distributed through our reports.
  • Propose changes to data architecture to fulfill BI needs.
  • Understand modelling of front end and back end data sources to help draw a full comprehensive picture of user flows throughout our systems and enable data analysis.
  • Respond to trouble tickets created by users, provide the needed information, or analyze the issue reported.

 

Requirements:

  • At least 2/3 years’ experience in Business Intelligence / Analytics Department of which at least 2 years’ experience as data analyst (as above described) with a clear track record in leading BI projects.
  • University-level degree with record of strong academic performance in Information Technology/Engineering.
  • Excellent knowledge of Qlik View / Sense BI tool as developer.
  • Experience in translating Business requirements in IT requirements.
  • Advanced skills with SQL language: knowledge of data structure, relational databases, data access and manipulation, queries and reports.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Ability to work independently on multiple assignments while maintaining high-quality and timely results.
  • Problem solving approach, coupled with excellent ability of data analysis and analytics.
  • Willing to learn showing enthusiasm for analytics with a proactive attitude.
  • People-driven attitude and team orientation with ability to nurture team spirit
  • Ability to interact effectively in a multi-cultural environment marked by a rewarding attitude towards work ethic. A prior international exposure will be considered as a plus
  • Excellent mastery of written and spoken English (Spain, French or German is a plus);
