IT Project Specialist (Retail)

At MBE Italy, we are looking for an IT Project Specialist. As an IT Project Specialist, you will act as an intermediary between the IT department and business functions, ensuring the fulfillment of business needs in terms of IT infrastructures and functions. In this role, you will manage the relations between the different business functions departments, the Software providers and the global IT department.

Main responsibilities

• Contributing to IT projects and activities organizational planning and follow-up;
• Gathering all the requirements and inputs from the business, in order to analyze them through meetings, brainstorming, observation and simulations;
• Taking track and document the process design and the functional and non-functional requirements (e.g. performances, failure management, support escalation processes, etc.);
• Understanding the purpose behind the various projects;
• Relating with all the stakeholders, end-users and IT Team;
• Identifying and supporting the IT providers;
• Preparing diagrams and mock-ups that can help describing or understanding the project;
• Supporting the roll out of new functionalities, testing and deployment phases and planning of preliminaries;
• Supporting end-users with how to guides ;
• Acting in respect of the project budget and contribute to monitor the KPIs related to the project.

Requirements

• University Degree in Computer Science; Information Technology or equivalent
• 2-4 years’ experience in a similar position within a retail company or a consulting company with a clear track record in IT transformation project (new application introduction or application transformation);
• Process oriented and structured approach, with a proactive attitude and the ability to prioritize tasks;
• Good understanding of data and performance/operation metrics;
• Ability to critically analyze data and build solutions on selected insights;
• Ability to solve problems effectively and efficiently;
• Excellent functional analysis experience;
• Willingness to learn, showing enthusiasm for technology;
• Exceptional interpersonal skills including the ability to interact professionally in a multicultural environment with a great team work attitude;
• Advanced Excel user and good grasp of data analysis;
• Basic knowledge of web service architecture (SOAP/REST API);
• Good knowledge of the main retail and supply-chain processes is a plus;
• Willingness to travel up to 30% of time;
• Fluent in Italian and English
